YOUR WORKFLOW ON MAC

PDF forms for recurring workflows

Registration forms, checklists and data entry sheets are easier to use when input is clearly guided.

Background & details

Date, number, calculation and signature fields cover different types of input. Unique field names keep the data structure clear.

Guide input clearly

Define required fields, defaults, descriptions and tab order.

Learn more

Set visibility, read-only status and print behaviour for each field. Validation and error messages help people complete the form.

Rules and calculations

Link numeric fields with calculations and use limited form actions for recurring workflows.

Templates and data import and export make it easier to reuse the same form structure.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions about
creating forms.

Which form format does FileCraft use?

FileCraft uses standard AcroForm fields. Full support for dynamic XFA forms is not planned.

Do rules also work in other PDF applications?

Support for validation, calculations and actions differs between PDF viewers. Test your form in the target applications before sharing. Not every rule is equally portable.

Can I reuse an existing form?

Supported form fields can provide a starting point. Check field names, types and rules before extending an existing form.
